Ride High Young Coffee Dripper

There is a study that has been circulating on the intertubes today that correlates high caffeine intake with an increase likelihood of experiencing visual and auditory hallucinations.

‘High caffeine users’ – those who consumed more than the equivalent of seven cups of instant coffee a day – were three times more likely to have heard a person’s voice when there was no one there compared with ‘low caffeine users’ who consumed less than the equivalent of one cup of instant coffee a day.

I’m usually not one to argue hard science, but since this was merely a Q&A study of 200 students I will remain skeptical of their findings. Perhaps a more likely scenario is that people who experience A/V hallucinations are more likely to drink coffee and soda. I’m just saying, they need to do a little more investigating before they start pointing fingers at poor innocent Coffee.

Remeber kids, Coffee is your friend, the dark sultry lady wouldn’t do anything to harm you.
