Fallout in the Land of Auz

I find it more than a little humorous that gave us the wonders of Mad Max and Crocodile Dundee would have such trouble getting Fallout 3 approved by their ratings board. This has been a melodrama that has been going on for a couple months, Bethesda, the Fallout 3 developers, have been going in tweaking and removing some of the overly offensive elements just to appease the powers that be. The silver lining is that while they aren’t keen on it, the depictions of ultra-violence are not what’s holding the game up. Rather, it’s the optional use of stat altering drugs, and the subsequent potential of becoming an in-game junkie that’s got their feathers ruffled. I think Charlie Brown said it best when he said, “Good grief.”

Now for some of that violence I was talking about. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
