A group of artists have started buying up the ridiculously cheap houses in Detroit. For less than $3,000 Mitch Cope and Gina Reichert were able to buy half the houses on their block, with a little elbow grease—and some help from the neighborhood kids—the couple has began to turn a rundown neighborhood into an eco-friendly community.
