I’ve got an oldie but a goodie today, Midi Surf by The Mad Capsule Markets. It’s Japanese punk with a heavy smattering of digital hardcore, what more could you possibly ask for? I remember when I first heard this type of music back in the late 90′s early 2000′s, I thought surely this is the sound of the future, but like most genre bending music, bands that played this punkish/dhc music like Mad Capsules and Apartment 26 eventually faded away. The only real comfort lies in the comeback of the original dhc group, Atari Teenage Riot.
