This is a follow up to a post I wrote a long-ass time ago, all the way back in the balmy summer of 2008. Back then I’d mentioned that Warren Ellis was writing a darker grittier (read: PG13) version of one of my favorite after school cartoons G.I. Joe. Since then previews of said cartoon/anime/what-have-you have begun to popped up on the interwebs, and I figured I might as well share them with you too.
…After a quick hop over to Adult Swim I see that the episodes have started airing. Personally, I like what I’ve seen so far. It’s definitely grittier than the original, and the refresh that they tried a few years ago. G.I. Joe Resolute will likely appeal to most anime fans, even if you weren’t a fan of the original series. (Sacrilege!) So, hop on over to Adult Swim and check out episodes 1-8, or you can wait until Saturday, April 25th when they will air Resolute in it’s entirety at 12 midnight (check your local listings for exact time).

It‘s quiet in here! Why not leave a response?
