So along with a half a million different builds of Windows 7 Microsoft will be bending low-end users over a barrel with a 3-application limit on Windows 7 Starter Edition. According to PC Pro, users will only be allowed to run three apps at a time (not including anti-virus software). Which means if you are a typical user running a web-browser, a music, and an IM app, you’d have to turn one of them off if you needed to do something like view a PDF in Reader. I’ve got a dozen or so expletives running through my head, but I’ll settle on, “Who the fuck does that to their customers.”

Edit: After some thinking, I figure this “hindering is mostly to accommodate low-power netbooks that were so hip right around the time I wrote this post, but are now beginning to fizzle out.
