Earlier, I had mentioned the short films that Weta and Neill Blomkamp were creating for the Halo franchise. well the day has come and the second installment is here:

This clip is so purdy it brings tiny tears to my eyes. My coworker and I have been drooling over all the slick Halo 3 marketing tactics while at the same time thinking of ways to justify purchasing Xbox 360′s to our wives. As much as I’d love to bust out Halo 3 right away I’d like to see if the rumored benefits of the 65nm chips pan out for the 360 before I plunk down the change for one. We shall see.

Next up is the trailer for the Rob Zombie’s retelling of Halloween:

This trailer isn’t a new or anything, but I thought I’d throw it out there since the movie opens this Friday. Which makes it a perfect outing for the upcoming three-day weekend. I for one am stoked about seeing this movie. I have been a huge fan of the Halloween franchise since I saw it at the tender age of fourteen— I even liked the one with Ben Affleck (sic). I was thrilled to here Rob wasn’t doing a cut and paste revision, rather it’s his own spin on how the story should play out. Maybe what thrills me the most is that Ms. I is excited to see this flick too. We’re just bummed that they didn’t hold out until October to release it.
