Cthonic – Defenders of Bú-Tik Palace

cthonic

What do you get when you mix melodic death metal with some biopunk anime? You get the latest video from Taiwanese rockers Cthonic. I’m not 100% sure what’s going on here, but the name of the track, Defenders of Bú-Tik Palace. probably says it all. There’s outragious costumes, wire-fu, and some Dragonball Z looking shit that’s sure to light a fire under your Tuesday morning.

Fol Chen – Holograms

Fol Chen’s second album has been out for some time now, but I had not watched the video for Holograms until today. Which is a shame, because this is quite good, a bit Twin Peaks feeling. Enjoy

Amsterdam Light Festival Featuring
Spatial Distortion

My buddy Jim/aka Spatial Distortion recently had his song, Light Tumbler, used as the soundtrack to a time-lapse video of 2012’s Amsterdam Light Festival. Both the video and the track are lovely, and work quite well together. For more information on Spatial Distortion visit MindlessMachines.com. Whourkr – 4247 Snare Drums

4247SnareDrums

Both talented artists in their own right, when the baroque/glitch-master Igorrr and cybergrind-ist Mulk get together under the moniker Whourkr the resulting music is something to behold. Their latest album 4247 Snare Drums is not for the faint of heart. This album melds death metal shredding with incessant breakcore beats, all while wailing screams are offset by operatic singing. 4247 Snare Drums is guaranteed to take you from 0 to 90 over and over again. 4247 Snare Drums by Whourkr… Continue »

Igorrr – Hallelujah

igorrr_hallelujah

Igorrr is at it at again, whipping up his own blend of baroque-dub-glitch-electro-death-metal on his latest album, Hallelujah. There is little I can say to accurately describe this album, other than that it is as solid as his previous releases. If you’re into any kind of experimental music, Hallelujah will be well worth the listen. Hallelujah by Igorrr IGORRR.com Bandcamp Facebook Last.fm

Tasty Gameplay Video from Crysis 3

Crysis3Psycho

Crytek has been putting out bits and pieces of information on their upcoming FPS, Crysis 3. This is the follow-up to 2011’s Crysis 2, one of the best shooters I’ve played in long while. For me, Crysis 2 had all of the fun of Halo: Combat Evolved, only with exceptional graphics. Unlike most shooters nowadays, the focus of the Crysis series is the single-player experience, which is what I look for in games. This gameplay footage with it’s big guns,… Continue »
